This investment section is filled with so many people that tout real estate investment as the holy grail of investment profitability in Nigeria. Yes, it could be profitable but how come everyone is TURNING A BLIND eye to the fact that there are so many fraudulent land owners out there(too many by my estimate). Outside the lagos are it's just so hard to buy land and not encounter one form of BULLYING by people that call themselves ''omo onile''. What do you think can be done to prevent being duped when buying land.

i guess so but i'm really concerned with is this. Is there any safeguard in place to protect an investor. NO there isn't. There isn't guarantee that you are the land owner even with your c of o. That's a problem even in the lagos area.

@ OP, There is a business side and an investment side to real estate. The question now is: Do you want to be a real estate entrepreneur (property developer, management company) or investor? These are entirely two different things and the problem most people have is that they can't tell the difference between both.
