I have tried all the networks mtn,glo,airtel,etisalat even visa... these guys are just reaping nigerians off.they can't provide data that can support quality internet streaming...youtube is go slow is nigeria.Buying latest electronic gadgets in nigeria is waste of money because of the low quality service of our telecom providers.

To some peeps, its now 1k for 350mb, and once you exceed 350mb, you use ur airtime to browse(for bb), so its not just bb stuff, and those using bb, why be d judas? India has problems peculiar to nigeria as well, as they sometimes suffer power cuts, and yet, they pay less and enjoy more. And when we achieve this aim of increased data for less cost, we move on to other stuffs, we rally en-mass to show not just leaders now, but the world, what we can do. the guys r rogues, they cut off the BIS service from android devices probably cos they think we were enjoying what we werent meant to. i just retweeted all the tweets on the android protest on a brothers page and sent a message to the mtn page on fb. its financially straining subscribing 260mb plan. its nothing. hope this thread pushes them to make provision for us. i beleive if we put more effort we wud acheive somtin lyk wot de egyptians acheived with the Jan25 revolution thet started on the 'kullena Khaleed Said' page. #GodBlessourStruggle

there're different 3G technologies. I recognise HSPA and HSPA+ are different but both are under the so-called 3.5G higher than both wcdma and umts

HSPA+ approaches 42mb/s

The computing prowess of the Nigerian youth has always been romanticised to amazing proportions. Just go and take a look at some of the questions raised on the Android thread or some other threads. The bulk of these guys know little. Don't get your hopes too high.

Half of the people "protesting" don't understand the technology or the principles behind it. All that suffices for them is that a so called protest is taking place and they want something for free.

Sensible people will, amist all the excitement, try to understand a thing or two about the tech so that they can state their demands or expectations properly.

The protest is everywhere on the NCC's facebook page. I'm impressed
