I want to confirm if Nigerian citizen requires an airport transit visa to pass through Hong Kong to a final destination. In that of Germany airport transit visa for Nigerian, Nigerians must apply through the German embassy in Lagos or Abuja for one to transit through Germany. How does Hong Kong transit visa applies to Nigerian?

I want to also know the number of hours one is permit to remain at the airport before getting a connecting flight from Hong Kong.

You will need but, if it's other province, you may not. Even with China visa, you can't still enter Hong Kong as you will be ask to get a pass from the immigration officer.

So what you mean is that I must first of all apply for transit visa just the way I am applying for a normal visiting or tourist visa before embarking on the journey.

if u have an onward ticket u wont need a transit visa insofar u do not leave the airport transit area
