Distribution Channel Manager Location: Nigeria

4) Aim of the job: • Managing Consumer Channel
• Taking responsibility for defining and driving the business strategy in the Consumer segment for Philips
• Personally managing the Distributors and taking responsibility for defining and driving the Distribution Plan
• Managing the entire buying center and all relevant stakeholders together with the Distributor Account Team
• Maximizing the top and bottom line of the short & long term business in the Consumer segment for Philips through driving profitable high growth opportunities as well as operationally managing the execution
• Representing Philips in the Consumer segment and internally representing the segment at Philips

5) Task and responsibilities:
• Define and execute the Consumer segment and distributor strategies
• Define and implement the segment and distributor specific product portfolio
• Manage the Distributors together with the distributor account team
• Manage the selected segment partners
• Regularly visit all relevant stakeholders of the segment partners and the key account
• Aligning the way to market internally with PLS colleagues
• Continuous market and competition analysis
• Continuously adjusting the segment and distributor strategy to segment and customer requirements based upon market intelligence work
• Shape the segment and distributor by launching Philips Spearhead products (LED, luminaires and Controls)
• Continuously checking and documenting the business development of the segment and the distributors as well as implementing corrective actions to achieve overall objectives
• Co-ordinate with the Lighting design team to prepare detailed technical offers and lighting designs
• Regular follow up with clients on the quotations submitted
• Responsible for the collection of payments from the clients as per the agreed payment terms
• Willingness to travel

• Candidate should have good consultative selling skills and sales/KAM experience, with a proven track record to support • Candidate should have strong strategic capabilities
• Candidate should have leadership / management experience
• Candidate should show a high drive for results and positive attitude
• Team player with a friendly profile being able to communicate and mingle at all levels
• Should be able to conduct technical presentations and seminars to the clients and consultants.
• Aware of the local market competition and pricing and supplier base.
• Should be well versed with MS-office package.
• Having valid driving license
• Should have a Bachelor or Master education
• Must be willing to travel
