It is true that governance is an unwritten social contract between the citizen and the state. Where the state reneges in its responsibilities, the citizen is bound to derail. Such is the case of youth restivness in the north.
If formal is anything to go by, then am of the conviction that the blood shed and carnage that has become the order of the day in this region is a manifestation of soldiers of circumtance.
The problem in the north like any part of the country is simply and squarly that of leadership. The breed of leaders we have today are just a dislocation from the vission and mission of our founding fathers.
The present day northern leaders are best described as subtle oportunist who are instrumental to thelingering poverty that befall our ranks. They are the bane of development. They do everything humanly and metaphysically possible to allow thier people wallow in abject poverty and illiteracy to sustain thier raighn in power. The average northerner is less informed of his right and priviledges.

Exactly. It is from the pool of the poor and illiterate almajiri in the north that Buhari and co get the sea of heads for political rallies and campaign.
