Lecturers in eight universities in the North East, Thursday, insisted that they would continue with their ongoing strike until the government meets their demand.
The lecturers, members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Bauchi Zone frowned at the Federal Government’s insistence that it would not implement the 2009 agreement with the lecturers; unless some of its provisions were renegotiated.
The union, whose members nationwide have been on strike for over three weeks, dared the federal government and asked its members to ignore the government’s utterances regarding the agreement.
