Does anyone have any examples of a brass tray or huge dish from Calabar? I have one and I am trying to find out more about it - when and where it was made etc. Someone has suggested to me that it is probably made by an Efik woman, and it is probably 20th century, may have come to Europe via a missionary - but I have no other information. The other trays like it I have seen are older, and have more objects like combs, fish, birds etc depicted. I'm interested to find more modern ones like this one, as well as older . it is 36 inches across.[img][/img].]
