It has great fuel economy, especially the 2003 to 2005 sport models, ce and le; you can achieve as high as 32 mpg city, and 41 h/w. while the Corolla XRS can achieve 26mpg for city and 34 mpg for highway with 170 horsepower probably the highest among her spec

It has fewer electronics/electrical. Its a budget car, very low in maintenance, but also low in performance, very poor horsepower; about 130 horsepower

Because a lot of people bought into that crap, now they want a bigger, car but they need a new sucker to do the same mistake.Anyway they've spent too much maintaining it anyway

What you may consider low maintenance might be too high Imho and the cost of purchase could have gotten me a good 3-series. Basically they found out it was too cheap for their status.

sure it could get you a very good 3 series and a very sweet C class, but you need to be very knowledgeable about these machines(you must be a car enthusiast) to maintain a 3 series and c class to keep them in top shape all year round else you'll be driving some undesirable ill-fitted dilapidated wreck or your pocket dig holes by service centre agents, but not so with the Corolla(that's why it is the bankers car, you cant save cost like the banks). Its the status quo ride for the civil service guys

Poor folks may never know what they are capable of as long as they heed to the advice of a mechanic high school educated if I may add
