Are Nigerians getting poorer or what?
I mean the masses are looking worse these days than the masses in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Our youths look dull and uninspiring.
Reports of anti-social activities and despicable crimes are now common stories.
There is low appreciation of life and I don't see much ambition among the youths, except those with demos of their hip hop singles looking for opportunities for their escapism.
The successful ones are not even enough to make a top 10 chart.
Only less than 8 Nigerian movies have made it to the local cinemas this year and majority of the actors and actresses are jobless. Many of the pretty Nollywood actresses are now "runs" babes.
Many bankers have lost their jobs.
I read a lot of angry and rude comments showing the frustrations of the people.
Many of them don't want to face the realities confronting them.

Can the jobless youths put heads together and join hands to form cooperatives and brainstorm to think of beneficial things to do for themselves to become self-employed until they find their levels in the society?
There are a lot of things they can actually do in their respective communities like raising funds from contributions and donations to start cottage industries.
Lest we forget, there were no Shoprite stores years ago before the South Africans came and opened them whilst local stores were abandoned by Nigerians who prefer get-rich-quick schemes and quicker returns on investment without taking time to grow their business.

Do you know that most of the household goods imported with billions of naira from abroad can be produced in Nigeria?
How can the President of Nigeria and his fellow public office holders provide jobs for jobless Nigerians when they use imported pillows and bed spreads that can be produced locally?
And they also important furniture that can made by local carpenters.
How many times have you seen them eating the much publicized Cassava bread?
Their children don't go to public schools and they spend millions for holidays overseas while their fathers and mothers who are ministers are trumpeting the patronage of local tourist attractions.
