OP, the toyota Avalon is classified as a full sized sedan, it has a larger dimension and its the flagship product of Toyota motors. It has two trim levels namely, 'XL' which is the base trim and 'XLS'the more luxuriously stuffed trim level. They usually come with V6 and are FF layout. Some folks on NL assert that the avalon competes with toyota other luxury division the lexus in levels of quietness, luxury and its very refined; but its basically an over-stretched camry and its still bland and and it doesn't have any sporty feel., but you get the toyota reputation for good quality build and reliability. Honda accord AKA EOD is the flagship product of the Honda motors, and the accord has two market targets namely, the honda america, and bonda international. The EOD is classified as honda america. It also has various trim levels but they also come in various power plant choices the I4 and V6 engines. Honda are slightly sportier than their toyota counterparts . You also get the honda's build and safety reputation but folks on NL say this model year honda accord (MY2003) is plagued with transmission issues and also front tyres prone to coming off easily. However, do some more research both online and ask users of these cars and if you've made up your mind when you see the car you want to buy ask for the VIN report

If you want to buy the EOD, avoid the 2003 like wildfire. Go for the 2004 or 2005. No difference in their looks. But 04 and 05 are better dan d 03.
And accord looks sexy like d avalon 2003.
I usually think d avalon 03 models is meant for old people who have no taste for style, just movement.

Theres no atom of style in that 2003 avalo and its gat electrical issues. apart from those two points its good to go.
Accord 2003 is se.xier and faster. U can only worry if u becosslow down on bad spots becos of ur ball joints. The transmission issue can be taken care of if u got the rigth atf for it. Im a proud owner of the v6 model.

Ofcos the design is not sporty (so its more like old folks ride)
I used that car in ph about ten years ago (my bros own sha) during my service year. The only problem we were having was with the electricals thats even why we sold the car. Then I was too ignorant to look into the cause.

Generally toyota cars are stronger than honda cars. This point is only applicable to naija though.
But u have to compare their maintenance prices. Most toyota cars have more expensive parts than their honda counterparts. Eg, compare the prices of replacement parts of an accord to that of a camry of same year and an avalon to that of a legend of same year.

For the 07 accord as far as im concerned its far betta than the 04 avalon both in the terms of hosrepower, speed, comfort, economy and design(sporty) . Beside there is about 3yrs gap between the two cars so u cant put the two to a test. Furthermore accord is best compared to camry which is its competitor in the market and in the industry.

Nicely put, but Legend is Honda's flagship not Accordn though Legend was replace in North American market with the Acura RL.
