wats up all hip hop heads on naira land its ya boy dc-one (da chosen one).i saw dis thread wen i waz browsin on ma phone.so i thought i shud come and correct sum new commers who started listening to music yesterday.first of all,i wud want to ask wat iz the difference between a rapper and an emcee.a rapper mostly talks about themselves,drug, sex,money,power, irrelivant stuffs dat wont upgrade there society,while an emcee spit lines that upgrade the people,enrich the community and create awareness.if u still dont get it da diff btw a rapper and an emcee is like comparing a normal street fighter with a kungfu master.ya dig.
let me drop ma top 10.my criteria for sellection is based on lyrical durability,originallity,durability,lyricism,battling skills,charisma,poetic values,consistency,flow and delivery.
