Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare has qualified for the final of the Women’s long jump event at the ongoing IAAF World Championship in Moscow with a jump of 6.83m.

Okagbare placed second behind Great Britain’s Shara Proctor who jumped a distance of 6.85m in her first attempt to automatically qualify for the final.

The minimum qualification requirement was 6.75m or at least the 12 best performance.

Darya Klishina (Russia) – 6.70m
Elena Sokolova (Russia) – 6.70m
Ivana Spanovic (Serbia) – 6.63m
Sosteme Moguenara (Germany) – 6.63m
Erica Jarder (Sweden) – 6.59m
Olga Kuchurenko (Russia) – 6.59m
Janay Deloach Soukoup (USA) – 6.58m
Britney Reese (USA) – 6.57

The final will be held tomorrow, 4pm Nigerian time or thereabout.
