*PROLOGUE* Ajebo(yoruba word for a well-fed child) the grand elder of all the neighbourhood animals stood on top of the papa sikiru tattered bettle volkswagen. The big rhode island red cock was the oldest animal in the neighborhood. At six years of age Ajebo appearance could be mistaken for a 6month old cock due to 'his' youthful looks and how gracefully his comb sat on his head. In his entire life Ajebo has fathered numerous chicks to the extent some had to travel out during xmas and easter to look for more greener pastures. As the an elder statesman Ajebo is reputed to be an honesty, cunning but violent statesman................. On the tattered janopy(papa sikiru's scrap) stood the mighty Ajebo the famous warrior of the island of red name rhode, father of many, husband of the young, old and brooding female chicks/hen....crowing to all who either lives in the yard or chained to a post, locked in a cage or to those who are given the freedom to roam but whose freedom of the mind is already taken. |

.CHAPTER ONE. Hear me my brethen, the unanimalistic behaviour of the humans is loudly becoming a threat to the development of we animals. About three moons and four harmattan seasons ago. I discovered that 6 outof my 10 cockrels were forcefully taken by iya bode. where they were taken 'i dont know'. I try lodging a complain to bode to please in-turn ask his mother to explain the reason behind this unanimalistic attitude of her's..... instead i was thrown out of the house by that small animal that call himself bode, he even threw stones at me....me the great AJEBO. *all the animals are seen discussing in a high pitched tone which intonates they were in angry mood. even the gentle "Irunmu-ni-wayah'' papa sikiru's cat was greatly vexed. |
