This is no prank like many NLers have been doing. I just watched AIT news, Abuja, and guess what? SAME OLD STORY!!! A correspondent of the AIT was in the Benue State Governor's Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, where the meeting was held, and after a long period of a behind-closed-doors meeting, Governor of Benue State, Mr Gabriel Suswan, who spearheaded the committee, came out to say that though the issue of the NEEDS assessment has been concluded, and that both the FG and ASUU have finally reached an agreement in today's meeting, that they will have to meet again next week monday to discuss the last and final issue pertaining the lecturers' earnings. Mr Suswan was very optimistic while briefing newsmen, so let's just hope the strike is called off next week. |
