Igbo Deportation Saga: Lagos State Government Allegedly Seals Orji Kalu's Home as Punishment.

The last has not been heard about the Igbo deportation saga as the Lagos home of Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia state, who criticized the Lagos state government has been sealed up.

This was revealed by Orji Kalu himself on a tweet from his twitter profile.

It would be recalled that after the Lagos state government deported some destitution Nigerians of Southeastern origin Orji Kalu, the publisher of The Sun Newspaper, wrote an OpEd piece criticizing the Lagos State Government and called Lagos "no man's land".

Orji Kalu who styles himself as a "fighter for the Igbo cause" released the following tweets on his profile @OUKtweets.

if this is true, then I think he'll be needing help cos he would have truly list it. It's a democracy and not some personal business run by someone who cannot keep his emotions in check and take criticisms.

It's a pity how a lot of these people know nothing about social contract. How power ultimately belongs to the people who have in turn entrusted it to them for safe keeping but reserve the right to question how these powers are put into use.

Even when the reasons behind certain decisions or actions appear to be glaring or crystal clear, as long as the people do not understand them, you owe them am explanation.

Now it is ridiculously absurd for you to apply punitive measures against a citizen that has merely criticised your actions and requires an explanation.

On what grounds then, do you inflict punishment?
If it's sanction, what law did he undermine?
From what law does this sanction derive strength.

Despite all that we say about ourselves, it's time we became our own judges. Enlightened fellows like Fashola should know certain things better than others.
It's on this premise that I chose to remain in doubt pending further clarification.
