have seen many of these species in mountain pati here in lokoja. It goes by the name chechengi.
So these aint new to those that often visits mountain pati in lokoja.

Its poSsible that's found in Naija. Personally, I've seen an animal in the North which I'm not sure of.

Point of correction: There is nothing as specie. the singular form is written in the same format as plural, species. It's only in pronounciation that they differ.

Many don't even know the difference between a mountain lion and a regular lion..or even the difference between a jaguar and a leopard..some of these animals can't be found or adapt in another climate or continent..that's why you won't see a tiger in africa or the maned lion in asia.
