thank you sir alhaji dangote
we know africa needs aid but he should keep his big mouth shut, nice and upliting words coming from a man that has pushed and bank rupted his rivals and single handedly controls all the staple foods that cme into nigeria,a man that sabotaged the rail lines going into the north because of government plans to start the rail and for him to safe guard his haulage business, borrowing hundreds of billions out of the banks and refusing to pay back even instalmentally just because he know his way round making the average nigerian banker pay a higher interests e.t.c

Many Africans never really studied business. Africans people as a whole  are still seduced by Western culture products. Many do not know how to properly market Africans product world wide without the backing of Western influences. Africans can never be independent if they are still in need of Western goods and services. Africans must work collectively together in order to free themselves of the whole of Western culture totally.
ALL MUST STOP WANTING THEIR STUFF AND MAKE OUR OWN STUFF!!!!
All must take there time to wean themselves from the need of Western influences, at the same time reproduce the things we need ourselves. Africa is the only place where we could do this with great success. It is so simple!!!!!! .What must an African have to make things work that so many of us lack is, Discipline Consistency Organization Skills Planning. Without these key ingredients within ones personality starting any business is pointless!

The bizarre thing is, though I'm not an economist, I understand our economy was on the up and up in the sixties and seventies. I saw this documentary on Nigeria in the seventies and couldn't believe it was the same country. Baaaad government. Lack of original thought. America evolved a political and economic system that works for her, as, somewhat, did Britain. But we Nigerians think everthing that can be invented has been invented, all that's left is to copy and paste from Western societies. You go years in a Nigerian university and emerge with a degree but not an education. Nigeria was better-educated,more politically and economically vibrant decades ago, than the present. If that's not horrible I don't know what is. While we're still 'teaching' in schools by having kids memorise and cram a few facts, which they forget as soon as exams are over, China took an inventive approach to education. The country as it is, is hostile environment to even the most-intentioned efforts at reform. That's why our best minds are frustrated out, to service other countries, and who can blame them?

I think there is lot of potential for Nigerian Industries in the International Market. The main problem is the Management and Infrastructure and above all the political will. The Govt. of Nigeria Policies are business-friendly but still there is a lot of work is to be done. There is tremendous possibilities of business development in the ECOWAS Region. The Customs Duty and other Taxes are very much on the higher side and with devaluation of Nigerian Naira, the people in Nigeria are now feeling the heat of inflation. The Govt. of Nigeria still has to do a lot to improve the business scenario and boost the morale of the local industries as well as Business Community.
