advocate666: Lord Satan... Mighty One!
Wisdom incarnate... Speaker of knowledge.
I ask that you bestow your blessings on Seun, the leader of our Satanic community;
and guide him, so that he will serve you in the ways that you desire.
Give him strength to keep going when things get tough;
and bestow upon him wisdom, so he will know what to do in all situations.
Inspire him to encourage his co-leaders, instead of tearing each other down;
so they will use their words to bless instead of curse.
Yet push him to stand tall when he faces things that are wrong;
and to fight if he has to, yet strive for peace.

Help him, Father, to be there for your children- both the adept and the new.
To guide them in learning what you have for them,
and to encourage them not to follow anyone but you, and to find their own path.
Let him not forget what it was like when he first came to you;
how you were gentle, kind, and patient.
May he follow in your footsteps;
to love as you love, and teach as you teach.

We are happy to be your servant; reveal to us the hidden things.
Try us, so we may be worthy of your affairs that you place in our hands.
Bestow on us your covenant as we trust in you,
and let us receive your counsel, not acting unless it is your Will.
It is an honour to serve you, Lord Satan.
Thank you for choosing us.
May our lives be devoted to you,
and may we be a reflection of who you are to the world.
Watch over us, and bless your people.
Lord Satan, may it be done according to your Will.
Ave Satanas!
Chai see satanist wo. God help us woo

Atheists can pray if they feel like doing so. To a certain extent, prayer makes people feel better about whatever they are praying about. Atheists are not necessarily immune to this cathartic effect; they just happen to realize that no one up there is really listening to anyone's prayers.

Now the shocking thing about all this is the effect, or rather the lack of effect, all of this has had on business. I would imagine that our religiously zealous country folks would be reluctant to advertise on a website that was owned by an atheist. Perhaps when it comes to money our people not so zealous for their various Gods and religions as they purport to be.

They come here to bark and bark about atheists, but when it's time to bite they are totally incapable of biting.

If you and others {Atheists} believe that mumbo jumbo dont you feel that would be an excercise in futility? We pray because there is a God that listens otherwise we will be wasting valuable time! And i assume you are too busy to waste valuable time.{Cathartic effect indeed}! Oje gba jesu si aye e!

so much energy dispersed in the name of Religion and irreligioun, yet the positive impact is so marginal to humanity. all because we want to show-off whose bright new toys shines the most rather than practicing or beliefs to the betterment of man-kind. that is all you see on the religion section of nairaland

Seun: they just happen to realize that no one up there is really listening to anyone's prayers.
Then why did you reject the Satan prayer? You believe there is a Devil but you don't believe there is an *Angel/God/good supreme being*??

I don't pray. But I could pray if I felt like it, and it won't make me a "bad atheist"
