Hello peeps, I want us to post local or natural spices that we have ever used. Please all the names it can be identified with as well as a description of the spice. You can go further to mention foods it can be used in.

nutmeg is one natural spice I enjoy. It is a nut with very strong and sweet aroma or flavor. I enjoy it most in jollof or fried rice. You can also find it in my chinchin, pies, sausage roll etc.
You can try it if you haven't.

i use fresh curry leaf for my stew. it smells &tastes so yummy..
d 1st time i used it, i cdnt go back 2d processed curry powder again.
Also i use natural ginger &garlic for my cookings.
they are soooooooo healthy &yummy!!!

Fresh and natural ginger(creamish one) and ginger are good species use to boil meet
U can put enof in ur pepper bf grinding it, wow! it yummies.
I use both almost every of my cooking. Both cure so many ailments.

Another spice I so much love is this dry leaf called bay leaf. Its aroma in jollof rice is irresistible. Anyone ever tried it?

uyayak (don't really know another name for it) is a spice I enjoy in white soup. it gives the soup a wonderful rich aroma. try roasting it, then crush it and add to your white soup anytime. really wonderful.
