Police arrest lawyer-led armed robbery gang Author(s): Jewel Stephen The Oyo State Police Command has arrested a lawyer, Babatunde Oretuyi, who abandoned his practice to lead an armed robbery gang. Oretuyi was paraded with 11 other dare-devil armed robbers who specialise in robbing their victims of exotic cars and other valuables like expensive phones, laptops. The State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Indabawa, while parading the suspects, said the arrest of Babatunde and his gang followed their incrimination in the latest car snatching operation in Ogbomoso and other towns in some neighbouring states. CP Indabawa said thorough investigation by men of the State Anti Robbery Squad specifically incriminated the lawyer as the main conduit for the disposal of the vehicles snatched by the gang. According to him, as at the last count, 11 of the recovered stolen cars were traced to Babatunde, who sold them to others who claimed to be car dealers. Paraded alongside Babatunde are; Olabode Seun, 27; Oyeyipo Ayomide, 26; Olanrewaju Ayomide, 23; Olatide Oladapo, 37; Abiodun Abdul- Malik Ojulari, 32 and Afolabi Akeem, 30. The others are; Isaac Nwose, 42; Segun Adeyale, 39; William Asu Atta, 47; Patrick Ogah, 35, and David Umar, 39. The police boss said upon arrest, members of the syndicate that often killed anyone who resisted them, confessed, leading to the arrest of the entire syndicate. http://telegraphng.com/2013/06/police-arrest-lawyer-led-armed-robbery-gang/ |

babyosisi: Why this one no make front page? You should know why? The reason is not far fetched, the robbers are from a particular part of the country. If the names of the robbers were 'Chukwudi' 'Emeka' nmoun na chu udele', it would have made the front page. #just saying. |

It's not surprising, because most Nigerians lawyers are Desperate hungry human being. Most Lawyers have professional armed robbers and fraudsters as their clients and they know very well the occupation of their clients, most fraudsters operate without fear because before they go into their fraudulent deal, they will feed their lawyers with all they necessary details to keep them posted in case their victim may want to take any legal action so their so-called-Lawyers will know how to kill the case. Nigerian Judiciary should change their motto: "The Judiciary Is The Last Place Of Hope For The Common Man" Because it is a big lie here in Nigeria where the judiciary is even more corrupt than the police. |
