Its Time by wasak(op): 10:11am On Aug 23, 2013
Good morning my fellow country men. Necessity is the only reason am typing this. i don't really know how to start but i think president Jonathan will be contesting in 2015. that's the only that comes to the mind of an average Nigerian like me who only reads about 2015 in 2013...my faulthuh
we have a government that is so insensitive to the plight of its citizens so much that it is not bashful to discuss 2015 in public when promises of 2011 have not been fulfilled. I'm typing this with tears in my eyes, I've tried my best to make of the present ASUU strike to no avail. My mind can no longer ignore the fact that the future is already going down the drain courtesy of a lackadaisical government. A government that spends a substantial part of the National treasury feeding itself and finds it so difficult to release funds for Educational sector. A government that awards billions of Naira to its football team for winning a cup that will not benefit the country in a significant way (i am a football fan ).but its a case of misplaced priorities.
A government which sees privatization of public corporations as the only solution to its failure. A government which abandons national issues to discuss campaign coming up in 2 years time. A government which which pockets over 30% of the national budget but took years to sign 18000 naira minimum wage.
I am sitting at home every Tuesday expecting a magic news from NTA Instead of reading my books @ school. I could go on and on but I need to ask my fellow Students these questions...
FOR HOW ARE WE WILLING TO CONTINUE GOING TO THE BUSH EVERY NIGHT DUE TO THE POOR CONDITION OF OUR HOSTEL TOILETShuh
FOR HOW LONG ARE WE WILLING TO CONTINUE STANDING IN LECTURE ROOMS DURING LECTURES??
FOR HOW ARE WE GONNA CONTINUE READING WITH TORCHLIGHT AT NIGHT??
FOR HOW LONG ARE WE GONNA CONTINUE SUFFERING AND SMILINGhuh
I'm sure posterity will never forgive the youths of today if we don't rise against this government. the time is here and now...Its time to organize a nation wide protest in all the states... its Time to go back to school.... any volunteerhuh??
