ASUU by cutiebee: 6:17pm On Aug 23, 2013
I'm begining to see the reason why govt has not taken students serious, & am also very scared the admins of our various schools have been bought over by either oppositions, or sheer ethnic sentiments. We as students have never come up with any meaningful solution, but to keep bashing the govt. I ask, Is there anytime this ASUU have fought for the students? Remember the 4 uniport students (ALUU4), did ASUU strike? NO! but they quickly go on strike whenever its about 'their' monies. Hold on a while, Are they not the same lecturers who sleep with our girls for marks, cart away the lab chemicals & library books, or not the same people who out of sheer hatred fail students en-masse? We the greatest Nigerian students should stop playing dumb to pressing issues. Am amazed the writer here complained about Prez Jonathan, really? Is there any president ASUU has never gone on strike during his term? On record, Prez Jonathan has allocated more funds to education than any other, & its a shame Nigerian students didnt know this. Did ASUU strike when our fees are being increased anyhow? OOU? LASU? Did ASUU strike when govt change UniLag to MauLag? wetin concern them with 'ordinary' school name abi? We need to get back to our senses in as much as we know the FG is irresponsible, we need to know also that we have a more irresponsible & wicked ASUU; who hardly lecture us cos of their various appointments at the private uni's. We need to go from being KIDS to grown up ADULTS to understand that most of their kids are either at private uni here or abroad, & some on FG/State scholarship while our parents dole out hard-earned millions to train us. Peculiar to OOU, our landlords are waiting for us in Ago/Oru/Ijebu-Igbo. A WORD is Enough for the Wise. Let assu shift grounds & get back to class asap.God punish Nasir Faggae(president of ASUU)
