To the car experts on here kindly assist me make a choice on which o purchase.

I like speed, i like a quick accelerating cars( , as i'm a troublemaker on the road and need a quick speed-off vehicle ), i like power, i like easy to maintain vehicles(not a vehicle that loves seeing the mechanic), i love comfort and i like interior lights and effects, I love balance when navigating through a bend(no tilts)

Now advice on which to take in-between these Three SUVs:


1. 2008 Ford Escape XLT

Engine: Gas V6 3.0L/181 DOHC SEFI 24-VALVE V6 DURATEC ENGINE (STD)

Is The Better Of The Three

as the current driver of a ford explorer
i would say stick to the ford
but thats just my opinion
the freelander is more of a lady's car,
the suzuki is as boring to drive as getting your hair cut.

Considering all the parameters supplied, the Ford Escape is the best. The interior decor is da bomb. The others are just no match for it. Though the price may set u back some millions.

It seems Ford has a good rep in Nigeria altho I try to stay away from Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily). However, given the choices, I'd go for the Escape. The landrover is too expensive to maintain and I doubt it's worth its maintenance costs.

BTW, I've driven the '08 Escape a few times. . .not a bad ride!

I would have suggested an X3 3.0i but cost is an issue and not part of the options. I would pick the Suzuki Grand Vitara from the top of my head. Don't know my about the Ford Escape but the Freelander is more of a proper 4x4 compared to the other 2. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

The Grand Vitara is built on the last Generation Toyota RAV 4 chassis and that car was supposed to be a GTi 4x4 (before the X3 them came out). I think the Ford Escape and Grand Vitara have similar layout in terms of chassis/construction compared to the Land Rover. (Siena should be able to confirm that)

My choice in order of preference (cost)
Grand Vitara
Escape
Freelander. I think the Freeland will definitely roll more than the other 2

I will probably choose a Freelander because of the badge though.

It is expensive but then that's truly Luxury SUV.

Viper did u mention POWER!! in the criteria? then mount this beast on any body listed there, u would get what u want even if na to dodge bullet, note its a diesel engine

I have been on a Freelander, its not particularly sharp. Why not go to edmunds.com and review all three cars, especially their road test reports. Those guys are good!

Considering the engine size(3.0, V6) Escape has more power and torque.
Parts are cheap, with that model year all you need now is just oil, and filters(oil,air,fuel)

Escape has done prertty well standing up against CRV and RAV, its actually one of the most common/popular compact SUV, good luck

Escape is good.
