Ogun State Government says it has commissioned a 4.5km Ere community rural electrification project in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of the state, abandoned 13 years ago.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bashorun Muyiwa Oladipo, who represented governor Ibikunle Amosun at the commissioning, said the contract, which was awarded in 2001, shocked suffered a setback due to inadequate financial backing.

According to Oladipo, the situation was salvaged through the intervention of Hon. Rotimi Rahman, Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, who completed the project and provided a 500KVA transformer to enhance the power distribution to the community.
