1. Independent Sales/Manufacturer’s Representative: Everyone seems to be selling one thing or the other these days. Fortunately, not the whole world knows that article A can be bought in store B or that it even exist. Exercise your imagination and see the problem in people's lives...then go and partner with the person selling or producing the 'solution'

2. Deliveries/Driver: I am not in any way suggesting you should be a driver. No! You're smarter than that. But if you have a car that is lying idle around or you drop off junior to school everyday, why not volunteer to be the deliveryman for that company starting up (with your car) or volunteer to drop off the other kids on the block when you drop off junior for a little bucks?

3. Blogging: Everybody in Nigeria knows blogging pays (thanks to Linda!) But what do you do to claim your own unique share of the ever flowing blogging river? Get up pal, stopping wasting that bandwidth for nonsense stuff!

4. CellPhone Accessories Retail: You won't believe it that cellphone accessories retail for 5X or more the price when they leave Lagos. I once bought a simple nokia 'small pin' charger for as high as N1200 in Taraba state. That charger, in Lagos, is nothing more than a mere N 120! Do the math.

5. Tutoring: Your first class or 2:1 is nothing but a mere sheet of paper if it cannot get a good life and the niceties that come with it. Wisen up! Put your pride behind you and send out adverts to schools and parents indicating you could tutor their children for excellent results. Before you know it, you'd be hot cake! You may not even need a 'conventional job' again! That is when a 2:1 becomes useful!

6. Online Sales: To sell online, you needn't start a store yourself or even bother with adverts! Online mega stores like Kaymu can handle all that head ache for you and for free! The best part? You need not own the things you propose to sell yourself! Simply make sure you have a friend who sells them and has them in stock. When an order is placed, you 'ship' from your friend's store!

7. Bulk SMS: Nobody deletes a message before reading it, unless he's a lunatic or plain ignorant! Take advantage of this fact and embrace the advertising solution of the future!

8. Car Sales: Are you aware that over 70% of cars advertised on NL do not belong to the owners but some smart 'middlemen'? And what is needed to be a middle man? A browsing phone with a good camera and some credit in it, all which you may already have. What is stopping you, considering you could net N 200 000 per deal?
