I was just reading deep about this man today.

The 14th Century African King who was the richest man in the world at that time. Mansa Musa 1. He was the richest person IN HISTORY and was worth $400billion AT THAT TIME of his death in 1331. Born in 1280, he ruled West Africa's Maliam Empire which covered modern day Ghana. Timbuktu and Mali. His country's production of more than half the world's supply of salt and gold contributed to Mansa Musa's vast wealth. Musa was appointed deputy of the King before him, who had reportedly embarked on an expedition to explore the limits of Atlantic ocean, and never returned. But, do you know that just two generations after his death, Mansa Musa's riches disappeared after his heirs were not able to fend off civil wars and invading conquerors?
