Whole House or Multiroom audio in essence allows the home owner to store all or most of their audio equipment in one key location, e.g. under the stairs or in the closet.

Various types of audio equipment (source equipment) may be used including: fm, mp3, music server, ipod or CD. Each room or zone is able to access the source equipment from one location allowing the user to listen to different sources in different zones. This reduces the number of music systems needed, space requirements and cleaning around the home. Local sources can be connected if needed. e.g. if the children want to use a media player from their pc in the bedroom.
