Its Friday night again and i'm
representing my hood, Mararaba.
Days like this are meant to last in the
memory of fun loving people every
week. Because people who claim to
be happy, happily visit clubs, and
other relaxation spots to relax or
dance to seek relief from cumulative
work stress. In the St. Augustine
catholic church neighbourhood of
Aso, Mararaba. Women irrespective of
their churches, tribe, status, religion
have decided to gather together as a
unit in the hood every friday
evenings to organise prayer
meetings. The ban of commercial
buses(araba), the rising cost of
commodities, accomodation,
transportation, e.t.c has made these
women to be highly motivated to
support their breadwinners by calling
on God for divine intervention.
I usually don't eavesdrop, but this
evening i did more than that. I stood
for about 5 mins like a slowpoke seeing
this women of faith vibrating and
nodding their heads with vigour. I
actually saw incredible optimism and
determination putting on scarfs
today, praying with emphasis on how
God should butter their bread, open
doors of favour for their husbands.
We all have challenges including me,
but i almost dialled God's mobile so
that he grants the requests of these
beautiful wives and mothers who
have made up their mind never to
give up.
While these women are doing what
every sensible woman should do i.e
support their husbands in prayer.
Some of these husbands have
decided to visit bars and spend cash
recklessly and as for them, drinking
must continue until the economy
improves.
In sicily, women are more dangerous
than shot guns. (The Godfather). In
Mararaba, women are Geniuses.
As for me, i am now a student in
ARSENE WENGER SCHOOL OF
ECONOMICS (AWSOE).

But I bet you most of them will still go home and pick up quarrels with their husbands, if only women will practice 5% of what they hear in church,families would've been more peaceful.
