Please house, I have a problem with my car battery. It's down but can't find any battery charger around today. My 2KVA generator has a battery charging point. Please, how long is safe to charge the car battery using the generator? Please, I need your guidance. Thank you.

the car should charge its self when driving

if the battery can not hold charge get a new battery

//Check body of the genset ( near the charge polarity electrodes, or other parts and also manual ) for the charging current__ or use a good multimeter ( digital output display ) to read the dc current of the runing genset.

if charging current (from genset ) = 30Amp,
Battery capacity = 150AH,

full Charging time = 150/30 ,
= 5 hours (ie, it takes 5hours for a charging current of 30A to fully charge a battery of 150AH capacity ) .

//When connecting the battery to gen, +ve (ba3) to +ve (gen) and -ve (ba3) to -ve (gen).

All I see is 12 V.

I just checked again and saw 8.3 A on the generator. My car battery is 75 A.
