I think I need a long vacation from Nairaland. I wouldn't say my English is perfect, but I think Nairaland is gradually damaging my spoken and written English. I know the goal of this forum is to share information and connect with others,but we should also try our best to write correct sentences. I was never one to use curse words but after sometime on Nairaland, when something ridiculous happens what comes to mind first is "What the Bleep". Some Nairalanders use so much abbreviations that it takes the patience of Job to read through their post. I know we all aren't that good in English language, but it doesn't mean we can't improve. Reading a post that is full of abbreviations and errors is not enjoyable. |
