Not really if you think about it. Madrid have offloaded Higuain, Kaka and Ozil - the money raised from these as well as the reduced salary demands...Kaka alone was on nearly 200k a week...means that in net terms over a few seasons, Madrid might actually end up saving money.

But with the way R/Madrid spends you and i know that its Net income can never be equal to its Net Expenditure which leaves a certain gap deficit in their Balance sheet for the season/year.

Also not getting another striker is a very bad move. Giroud won't have any competition and also he can't play every game.
