Please I need advice from estate surveyors and experts in real estate. My company won a bid to source for official building in Abuja for a large organization. After taking them round several properties, they fell in love with one of them. The property costs about N2.7b and is located at Central Area. After several discussions, the Chairman of the organization started explaining to me that no one can pay 10% as agent fee for any property above N1billion. Insisting that only 5% is applicable in cases like this.

Though they haven't indicated that they would go ahead in purchasing that building.......but I want to be sure just in case.

Could it be true that when the worth of the property is above N1b, then the agent fee becomes reduced to 5%?

Please I need honest and professional answers. Thanks
