The Aide-de-Camp to Rivers State Governor,
Chibuike Amaechi, Seimeikumo Debewari, an
assistant superintendent of police, ASP, has
been declared a deserter by the State Police
Command.
In a statement issued yesterday, and signed by
Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of
Administration, Augustine Sanomi, the
Command said the step became necessary
because Debewari had ignored all directives to
report himself.
The statement said: “The Rivers State Police
Command wish to inform the general public that
acting ASP Seimeikumo Debewari, AP/No.
100659, who has ignored all lawful directives to
see the Commissioner of Police and the Inspector
General of Police has not been seen either in
Rivers State Command or at the Police
headquarters since 10th July, 2013.
“The whereabouts of the Governor’s ADC is
unknown to the Nigerian Police Force and
consequently, he ceases to be ADC to Rivers
State Governor.
“As the Commissioner of Police Rivers State
Command and by the powers conferred on me by
section 398 (1) of the Police Act and regulation
cap 359, law of the federation of Nigeria 1990,
the officer is hereby declared a deserter from
Nigeria Police Force subject to the approval of
the Inspector General of Police.”
The ADC was implicated in the Rivers State
House of Assembly crisis of 9th July, 2013,
where a free for all ensued. Video clips captured
Debewari, lending a helping hand to the House
Leader, Chidi Llyod, who used the mace to
batter another member of the House, Michael
Chindah.
While Llyod gave himself up to the police
authorities in Abuja, the ADC refused to honour
the invitation extended to him. It was learnt that
if Debewari refuses to turn up eventually, he
could be arrested, dismissed and charged to
court for criminal conducts.

Only in this country will an employee not answer the summons by his employer. Nice move by the commissioner, I wonder what the governor will give you that is more important than your job and the promising future that comes with it. Better to resign and have a good profile than be dismissed and risk jail too

I knew this was coming... That guy was actually thinking through his anus when he took sides with the governor. And now the heat is on, he's gotta face it.

I pray Ameachi wins this battle. If not, the guy should forget his career and pension.

Is money everything to you? What about his reputation, integrity. Are you aware that he risks jail, how sure are you amaechi will even give him the money. This guy is in a big mess and the earlier he get himself out of it the better for him. 48 laws of power" DONT OUTSHINE YOUR MASTER"

When the commissioner is receiving EXTRA PAYMENT for fighting Gov. Ameachi, why wont the guy fight for Ameachi knowing that he will also receive EXTRA PAYMENT?

As for been jailed, leave that thing cos as long as Ameachi gave him enough money, he will escape from Nigeria to Ghana, or any other country and wait till GEJ finished his tenure in 2015 or 2019. Immedately GEJ's tenure is over, the case is as good as closed also.

Do you think the guy is happy wearing one type of cloth everyday? And why didn't the police invited Hon. Evans Bipi and his cohorts?
