The UK’s Independent newspaper has retracted it's statement that the Nigerian government ordered 53 Gold phones to celebrate independence while interviewing the founder of Gold and Co, Amjad Ali

There's a clear difference between retraction and update? They did not retract anything, they only inserted the iphone man's change of story.

So you think say the interview na for free? The interview was conducted and published by UK's Daily Independent to help promote his business. Based on the reaction and government bashing that followed the earlier published interview, the business owner retracted from his earlier stance to help save face for his client(Nigerian Government) and Daily Independent had to comply. The business owner suffers from 'foot and mouth syndrome'. The typical symptoms are shoot and scoot, deny and accuse the media of misquoting or quoting out of context.

A Government Representative is also a 'Nigerian Individual'. Beware of deceptive politicians, gullibility can sometimes lead to a point of self destruction.

As usual,political jobbers like Insincere Nigerian and the rest of the FG laptop militia have started to pin this story which broke in the British press to the opposition's desperate attempt to blackmail their Ali Baba principal and his lieutenants
