So Guys! There is a gist going round about Airtel using MTN’s blackberry internet service to tweet.
Here is what ACTUALLY happened.
As we all know, Airtel sponsors Nigeria’s Got Talent. In preparation for the auditions coming up, Airtel had asked their social media community to send in their videos showcasing talents that can qualify them for direct entry into the auditions. They had shared their YouTube mobile upload e-address for people to send their videos to.
So, someone, had used an MTN Blackberry to send in their audition video to this e-address, which automatically means it would feature on the Airtel YouTube page for the competition. Now, you might ask why it still appeared on Airtel’s twitter page. It showed on Airtel’s twitter page because their YouTube account is synced with their Twitter account. So, whatever post goes up on YouTube automatically goes up on Twitter as well.

- Nigeria’s got talent is calling for online auditions. If you have got talent to show, send your 1 minute video to pwwqc1ssx6pl@m.youtube.com
- You can upload a video to YouTube via your Mobile Upload e-address. To find yours, go to your YouTube Page and click on settings.
- You can sync your social media accounts such that when you put up a post on one social media platform, it appears on the other.
