Can A 45 Year Old Man Just Slump and Die? Just lost an Uncle in this mind bugling scenario and i'm looking for probable causes. They said he fell and hit his chest and that's it, he was buried today. It never occurred to me that it is not mandatory by law to carry out autopsy on deceased individuals in Nigeria. No history of terminal illness in the family, Parents died of old age. Yes a 45 year old man can "slump and die". He most probably suffered from High Blood Pressure leading up to him suffering a fatal heart attack. I know 2 people in their 40s who have passed on this way recently. A few tips:

Check BP regularly.
Exercise regularly.
Reduce salt intake.
Avoid junk meals high in fats & oils which only clog up the arteries.
Take lots of whole-grains, fruits and veggies.
Take lots of water.
