Before I can answer this we first have to ask what their demands are. The Baraje led faction is insisting on the following:\ 1. GEJ must not contest 2015 polls. 2. Power must be zoned to the north 3. The EFCC should be called to order. Now, here is another crucial fact you should consider; Most of these governors are serving their last tenure come 2015. Immunity runs out. EFCC can finally act. GEJ is eligible to contest another term come 2015. The governors defected because they are trying to assuage GEJ that only they can help deliver their state to him. They want a guarantee that GEJ will not prosecute them come 2015 when they are out in the cold. If they truly wanted GEJ out they would have joined the opposition but they thought of GEJ wining the election either by nook or crook without their help is unsettling the least. This is the true face of the PDP faction. But the biggest loser has to be Ameachi. GEJ does not need his help when it comes to a presidential nomination ticket or ballot win in a state like Rivers. Atiku on the other hand is suffering from Klepto-amnesia. He believes in so much of his dwindling influence brought about by his money dole outs to think the office of the Presidency is his. 3 Likes |

1) The primary objective is to ensure a northern muslim emerges as presidential candidate in the major political parties, so as to have APC and PDP producing presidential candidates come 2015 2) If they join APC, the party might produce buhari again which will not sell 3) PDP has the magic wand to make 16 greater than 19 4)Then the fear of EFCC is the puting them in jail if gej wins somehow, so 2015 is going to be do or die. They will have to drop their offices if they should join another party so the best thing is to form another faction of the PDP so as to stay within the ambits of the law even though their minds are no longer with the party |

Over rated by Lagos newspapers, it will be their political FUNERAL, if they leave PDP. In APC, none of them can even say 'thank you sir' when Buhari farts.
