PLS ADVISE. I'm a 42-yr old man. I had a fractured leg (broken tibia wt some bone loss estimated to be btw 4cm-6cm approx.). It had extensive wounds: tho' nt fully healed bt beta now than b4. D leg hs bn on ex-fixator since d accident, i.e. abt 14 months now.

Any moment frm now, a Surgeon is planning 'gap plating' aka bone grafting on d leg.

Foreseeing possible hassles, long run side effects, a friend advised trying native bone doctor. I don't even know anythin abt dis.

Pls. Has anyone in d house gone thru any of dis options? Or does anyone hv good knowledge of either?

Don't be deceived please. The best healthcare you can get is in a hoapital. Doctors are trained to be able to provide you the best healthcare.

Many people waste time and money going to quacks and only go to hospitals when it gets very bad. Please dont be another of the bad tales or the 'had I but knowns'.


Try a general or any federal health institution before anywhere else.

I would strongly advice u go for orthodox medicine in a good hospital. After the surgery and a good physiotherapy management, u wld be good to go. TBS would only worsen the situation and u might end up paying twice d amount u are meant to pay now if u visit the hospital when TBS wld have made it all worse with stiffness and contractures. I'm sure u won't want an amputated leg. So stick to ur doc.

External fixation for a year and 2 months?

Based on a personal experience of having lived in native bone healing home for about 4 months And actually seeing patients who went orthodox come in with issues, I will advise you to go the way of a native bone healer.
