Hours after Governor Rotimi Amaechi criticized President Goodluck Jonathan of failing the Niger Delta people that he is looking up to for support in his future ambition, the Police in Rivers State has been unleashed on his guests again in a commando style.
600 youths from 11 states attending an event organised by the Rotary Club with Governor Amaechi, were on Friday prevented by policemen from inspecting projects executed by Amaechi.

According to sources, the police, believed that if the students were allowed to inspect the projects, especially the beautiful schools built by Governor Amaechi, they may mobilize other youths to support him and the G-7 governors against President Goodluck Jonathan.

The youths, who were waiting for Government House buses to convey them from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology to the project sites, were shocked when armed policemen stormed the place and stopped them from embarking on the planned inspection.

It was learnt that the youths, who were mainly students, were camped in some of the university’s hostels for a retreat organised by Rotary International, District 9140.

The Rotarians expressed their disappointment with the kind of Commissioner of Police that is stationed in the state, who they say lack respect for citizens and operates like a military head of state.

Amaechi said he is not moved by the antics of the Police, adding that he will continue to do his work.http://davidchuks..com/2013/09/joseph-mbu-again-rivers-police-prevent.html

Jonathan and his boys may soon draw blood if care is not taking. Yet some people will still come here and try to convince us Mbu is not being directly instructed but Jonathan on his actions against Amaechi.

President Jonathan should know that nothing is permanent. I nominate Gov. Amaechi as Man-Of-The-Year 2013 (for not cowing in the face of irresponsible intimidation from the presidency)
