Why Should Jonathan Not Seek 2nd Term In Office As The President Of Nigeria? by TRUTHTELA: 12:08pm On Sep 22, 2013
Fellow NL's, I think the biggest problem facing Nigeria today is having an UNINFORMED and GULLIBLE youths. It is not CORRUPTION or bad leaders, rather, it's BIGOTED & HYPOCRITICAL followers.

Can someone give me his/her OBJECTIVE reasons why Goodluck Jonathan, (Commander in Chief of the Fed republic of Nigeria), should not SEEK, re-election in 2015?

Is it because Dr Ekwueme, said so?

Is it because Archbishop Okogie said he shouldn't?

Or because Jonathan's (GCFR) political adversaries from the MUSLIM North said he should not seek re-election?

You think he's not doing a "good job" or keeping his electoral promises?

Some people said "majority" of Nigerians are not in support of him. Who is the "majority" that said so?

GEJ should not run for a second term if the 1999 constitution as amended does not permit him to. if it does, then he has the right to vote and be voted for.

Why GEJ Should Not Contest 2015 - Egift

1. He have not done enough to deserve another tenure.
2. Organizing and delivering a credible general elections in 2015 will be a lasting legacy.
3. He have stolen so much and currently have no new ideas that it is meaningless staying beyond 2015.
4. He is reactionary. He does not respond to problems facing the nation with solutions, rather he reacts when events are against his interests. But ironically play deaf and dumb if the problem are not affecting him or have benefits.
5. While we may not directly accuse him of corruption out of respect and lack of facts now, we all know he is surrounded by the finest political criminals Nigeria have ever produced. And they are living large and comfortably.
6. He spend so much with little or no useful result that benefit or empower the masses.
7. When he was Acting-President, people said he need the election of 2011 to have the footing to stop corruption and build infrastructures - both he have failed and asking for more.
8. President Jonathan is Interest based only. He is not a bridge builder. He does not unit Nigerian. He divide us along Religion and Ethnic lines.
9. Presido will fight you tooth and nail if you stand by what is right. But no matter how corrupt you are, if you will sing his praise you are covered.
10. Despite the enormous power of the Presidency, GEJ is afraid of corrupt politicians and those killing innocent Nigerians. He has a case file on everyone. It will only be executed the day you stop dancing to his tune.
11. He cannot control those under him. But he is powerful enough to protect them.
12. He supports rewarding crime. While law-abiding Nigerian youths are suffering.

I am ready to support him if his attitude changes. But so far, President Jonathan have displayed cluelessness, weakness, tolerance to corruption, waste of resources that should have been used to deliver tangible development.

Nigerians should not reward President Jonathan for doing very little. We need to make it know to our politicians (irrespective of post, religion or ethnicity) that if they do not deliver, we will send them parking. They will sit up.

He has the right to run but he's a major let down and I will never vote for him again. Not now or ever.

He's not managed the country's resources judiciously and corruption is at an all time high

Insecurity is at its peak and all he keeps focusing on is how to extend his stay in an office he knows nothing about managing

Under him, I've heard the most ridiculous statements from his mouth and from those that surround him

So you also agree he is very corrupt.

FYI, every Nigerian has the right to cast the first stone. As President, he is required not to indulge in corruption. Also it is his responsibility to jail those those who are corrupt.
