Hello Nlanders, I would like your views on developmental levies included in the fees for children attending private schools. Recently I changed apartments which necessitated my kids changing school. Asides the high school fees charged, I casually looked at the breakdown and saw Developmental Levy After refusing to pay this levy it was removed. I was later made to understand this was a common practice amongst private schools! Casual observation reveals ownership of private schools in Lagos is big business with owners making a killing. I wonder if it is the responsibility of parents to develop schools for private owners
