Google introduces its first major search update since three years; Hummingbird. 90% of search results would be affected to better handle complex queries and natural speech.

Google announced the new Hummingbird algorithm search at a Thursday event in Silicon Valley to celebrate Google’s 15-years of existence. The Hummingbird update is the first major update to Google search in 3-years. The last time there was an update on this scale was in August 2009 where “Caffeine” was introduced to effectively handle fast-changing information from Facebook, Twitter.
