Scouting unit for foreign-born players

Laughable.

The NFF should be working on having a Scouting unit for ELIGIBLE and PROFESSIONAL players for the Super Eagles! and not patronizing us with this rubbish. The criteria for playing for the Super Eagles should be talent and professionalism and not foreign-based or home-based. That is one of the reasons why our football is in the shape it is today, where talent and professionalism have been sacrificed of the altar of mediocrity.

collynzo2: The same thing I said before, the selected players were already in camp, being sponsored by the NFF and Akwa Ibom state govt before that Woman tried to influence her son's inclusion. Did you expect them to pay for the extra expenses?
HIGHLY SPOT ON

How come nobody told the mother that it was a closed camp, but rather made her believe that her son was over-aged wioit showing her the result of the MRI which she paid for.

she was made to go for MRI scan after camp closed? made to travel and pay hotel bills

why wasnt she categorically told its closed?
btw where is the NFF report she was trying to bribe her way in? was she arrested for attempted bribery?
or this is just a quick excuse to turn the tables on her?

smoothicon: Bros....not when the money is talking
hmm bros young stranded extreme talented players are all in every corner of the streets instead of training them to yeild better results for there Country you will let them be swallowed by an unprolific profession and go to chase the ones that narrowly smuggled their way out of Nigeria. They wont train the ones here rather they will set there eyes on the one's other's has trained which they will never get.

So you mean the NFF makes our Players foot their bills themselves?! shocked shocked

Is this standard practice?!

And how did you come about this info as you seem to be speaking with alot of audacity..

Gpattern: This is total lost priority... Let them think how to develop our league and scout for the plays at home, then those guys that are outside that we notice that are good we then pursue. We should stop this pursue of average nigeria play abroad all in the name that they where given birth to outside nigeria. Those that the aticles mention how many are stil playing for their adopted country. Make we stop to dey waste money abeg. Thanks.
the truth is dat they shouldn't have made it public, other countries like germany, turkey, england still use players that were born outside their territories

Okija_juju: All this one na to waste scare resources..

A foreign born Nigerian Player came home for trials with his Mother and the Boy was schemed out due to corruption. And we know that he was good because immediately we rejected him, the United States Youth Team signed him up..

So FVCK NFF.. angry
sickening

If a foreign born Nigerian wants to represent Nigeria it is on him to contact the NFF...send video clips showing his level/or come to Nigeria for trials. Only a special contact person and number would be needed...not even an office. Under their plan... the two guys would be touring the world... staying in 5 Star hotels...all expenses paid...courtesy of the NFF. If they ever discover a player ....I am sure 10 players better than him can be found the next day In the local community. Foreign is better mentality.

Bro sorry but i'll have to disagree with you as IMHO I think the proposal has its merits cos let's face it though we have raw talent at home we are yet to harness a system to properly polish these raw diamonds at home. Some of thesse boys born abroad are raised in structured soccer academies were tactical disciple is ingrain into them plus cos we know their true ages we can realistically expect them to grow and improve. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying we should bring in all manner of kids but target the ones in Europe especially talented kids like the chuba akpoms, anekes of this world .your view is ideal in the long run but in the short run if we want to do well or even think of winning future World cup and AFCONs we need more world class which I think some of these foreign kids can provide. The victor Moses and David alaba example though contrasting should suffice to back my argument[qp uote author=collynzo2]This is an absloutely useless idea, why not invest your time and effort in developing the millions of aspiring young footballers here in Nigeria. They get to improve our national team and also better their lives and that of the their family.[/quote]
