Each day i sit and i wonder Of what you promised and i shudder I thought you said You were different I thought you said The poor were your target I thought you said Our life's would be better I thought you said Only if we vote you to power I thought you said You grew with no shoes And i am still thinking We were played for the fools I thought you said There would be love and unity I thought you said There would be jobs and electricity I thought you said We should give you a chance I thought you said You understood our econimic trance I thought you said You were the man for the people And i am still thinking All i see is blood and evil I thought you said Why is the blood getting thicker? I thought you said Why is love getting thinner? I thought you said Where did you take grandpa? I thought you said Where is the truth in the lie? I still sit but in motion Was there any nation? HAPPY INDEPENDENCe |
