These are your weak points :a) You didn't read mechanical/electrical electronics/chemical/petrochemical/etc engineering.
b) you must be hse certified before you can think of venturing into any O and G company, most especially in engineering department.
c) For you to be employed as an engineer in any O and G company most especially in E and P, you must have an experience in engineering with a tangible accomplishment.
Your strong points: According to you, you have a fair knowledge in project management.
My observation: you want to reinvent your career in engineering angle which is possible, if only you will do the followings: a)Try to be certified atleast in HSE.
b) Go and gather many practical experience in engineering that relate to your ambition position in the O and G company.
c) Reflect a and b to your CV and register with RIGZONE for you to be connected to all the O and G companies in the world, then, start job hunting.

With d physics bckground, U can actually be considered for any of the positions as a trainee.....train and equip u wit the necessary skills, certifications dat makes u either a mudlogger, drilling engineer, or any other.
Geo-physics wld hav made it a lot easier for u tho...but not to worry, I knw a few persons wit ur discipline........ a driller, a geologist wit a multinational, mudlogger too.
So, dia is really no limit to where/what u can be in d O&G industry. Its mostly opportunity and God bro!!

As a physic graduate u can work as a wireline logger .. Yea u can work wif an oil company.

As Majekdom said, wireline logging is good for ur field, either LWD/MWD (Logging while drilling or Measurement while drilling)

BOSIET is just basic offshore safety n emergency techniques training necessary for every offshore personel.....if u gonna be in a swamp location, HUET might just be enuf tho.. As for d IWCF n IADC u can read more here

Nothing really to work wrk wit aside googling and it seems the BHI experience is devoid of nairalanders..!

Has anybody been gone for 2013 BHE and also has anybody been interviewed for 2014 position.

My status is still "Evaluation in Progress". Hope you have heard any news for grad field specialists. It's been several months now.. God is in control.

One tip for those going to the bhi experience:
Just be yourself, get closer to the hiring managers and ask more questions and finally you should know a little about what Baker does( their product and services). That and the favour of God is what you need.
