The lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual (LGTB) community in India now have a reason to 'celebrate' as freedom of public communication has been granted them with the take off of the first round-the-clock radio station specifically dedicated to their needs.

According to Times of India Newspaper, Anil Srivatsa, the mastermind behind the station - Q radio, believes the programmes aired through the station will focus on life in India from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender perspectives.

"LGBT is a large special interest group left out of main stream media and social representation and this is a natural fit to our vision. The LGBT need media representation and a common ground to gather their thoughts and spread them from one place," Srivatsa saidd

However, as a professional Mass Communicator, let me point out some effects this development will have on cultures across the globe.

#1. The radio station dedicated to homosexuality will cultivate a reality in the minds of the radio audience which will cause them to base their sexual activities on the ideas broadcast through the station.

#2. Some members of the radio audience, who may not be homosexuals will begin to learn the signs and symbols of communication used by homosexuals to exchange ideas among themselves. Thus, encouraging spread of the vice across the globe

#3 With prolonged exposure to homosexual radio content, corrupting influences that undermine pure and natural relationships between members of the opposite sex will.begin to gain regard as having superior tastes and value.

Homosexuality is an aberration of nature's law, therefore, let's not promote the vice among humanity.
