Its just 100 days since the body of our tertiary institutions has went on strike, firstly to demand for the increase in their wages following the 1999 agreement and also because of the scheming corruption going on with our political institutions.

These two institutions had been like pepper and the tongue for decades and yet there's no fruitful solution on how to work with each other.

Parents talk about this strike when they listen to News and discuss it with colleagues when reading the News paper without a clear solution on how to end the strike.

Our education sector is one of the worst yet, we shout and cry of unemployment, when, a graduate of either polytechnic or university student can't speak good English or even come with a manageable idea.

Universities around the world makes the country a developed nation, and now ASUU has come out to drop their ego and raise the need for our education to be African standard so that the writer can make up his mind to go to school after Nine (9) years.

In Brazil, the teachers are on strike for two months which has now turned bloody.
Their cry; They want a salary raise and a good education sector that will compete with the Western schools.
--->
'We don't need the World Cup,' said Leonardo Fabri, a 19-year-old protester, at the time. 'We need education, we need better health services, a more humane police.'

Everyone came out to honor and support their teachers so that their unborn children will have a good standard of education.

In Nigeria, when it is time for elections students and their parents collect money from politicians in exchange for their education and future.

NANS fighting ASUU; Parents ranting on ASUU; Students complaining. Ha! When your certificate cant get you a job in the western world unless you go through their education system, or wait for years to be legal.

Brazil's case should be an eye opener for all Nigerians, cos we all heard this News and yet, all we do is keep silent as if we've been cursed to suffer and silent, in the hands of democracy.

It is time everyone should make up their minds and support ASUU in their struggle to erase the shame in our education sector.

With all the money we get from all revenues, I think our education should be the best in Africa, our students should be the most productive in the world, and Nairaland as a site should have upgraded to an International standard erasing his old cloth of more than seven years.
