Vacancy currently exists for a Social Media Executive in BlackHouse Media: a 360-degree brand and media solutions group.

Job Summary:
• Posting relevant materials on our social media sites to ensure daily conversations on our social media sites and other community sites.
• Daily suggesting tweets, facebook, memes, ideas to promote clients, projects, BHM, etc in line with on-going activities.
• Issuing daily facebook notes in BHM facebook page consisting of spins, photo releases and videos.
• Adopting and managing social media campaigns to maintain top of the mind awareness for clients and agency alike.
• Working with each client to determine what their goals are for implementing social media into their overall marketing strategy.
• Monitoring social media trends of clients, rival agencies and rival brands.
• Organizing press activities, social media activities, events and tradeshows.
• Developing and distributing releases to the full range of media outlets including national, suburban and regional TV, radio and Internet.
• Proactively seeking media opportunities that support the organization’s and campaign objectives.
• Evaluating and reporting on the reach and impact of media activities through regular media monitoring and contribute copy for campaign evaluations.
• Creating and maintaining media contact lists, liaise with individuals and media outlets and develop and manage relationships with key media partners including outlets, PR agencies and contractors.
• Coordinating the development, production and distribution of audio-visual materials, web-based advertisements and other broadcast media materials.
• Supporting campaigns through the development of media messaging, briefing notes and act as a media spokesperson when required.
• In consultation with relevant campaign managers, overseeing the development and running of campaign launch and media sites.
• Monitoring social media outlets
• Responding to posts as needed using the pre-written format
• Reporting issues and consult with supervisor regarding posts

Requirements:
• Must have prior experience with social media outlets
• Must be a professional in demeanor
• Must be self-directed and self-motivated
• Must have exceptional communications skills, both oral and written
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and shift priorities seamlessly
• Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability as projects and priorities evolve
• Must have passion for the digital space
• Must be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

2 - 3 years’ experience working in a similar role

QUALIFICATION
A degree/HND in the humanities or social sciences i.e. language and communications, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioral sciences from a reputable institution. Membership of a recognized PR body will be of added advantage.
