Animal Sacrifice is a very important ritual in islam on Eid Al-Adha.

So what if I was a Vegetarian muslim?

Do I still have to do the sacrifice and behead an animal?

Because if I dont, I'm going against islam.

With my little knowlege about Islam and vegetarianism, here is my contribution; some activities in islam fall under WORSHIP e.g the animal sacrifies (if you have the power to do it) while some activities / actions are not worship. A muslim can decide to eat (or not eat) anything, wear (or not wear) anything except those prohibited in the religion. So for what ever reason ( reasons which are realistic in islam) you may have become a vegetarian, you dont have to eat out of the meat but u have to make the sacrifies either by giving the money/animal to someone else or killing it yourself and giving it out to the poor for them to eat.
