Doc,ASUU Strikes, Ban On Tokunbo: The Work Of A CHAMELEON In GEJ Economic Team by Cuche: 12:21pm On Oct 11, 2013
GEJ administration has a well known rogue in his economic team. He is talented, tactical, innovative, talks like a Saint, appears like an Angel, looks like a servant, speaks like a good granny. With all this features he could be equated to a Stilt fighter that could access any airspace without being detected by the sophistication of any Radar.

He needs no introduction, but let me add that he is married to an Angel from Cross-rivers, who is his exact opposite. Who in my opinion has tried her best to make a better man of the thief but it is proving too difficult. There is a level of criminality that even Angels can’t change. He is connected with Shoprite Nigeria and a personal multi-billionaire shopping mall at Kado area of Abuja. Which according to Mr Offordile, “what he could have done for Anambra, he did for himself and family”.
Doctors strike: it will recalled that Anambra was the only State that the industrial action over the non-implementation of the structured salary for health workers lasted over a year. He stood his ground that he will never pay and that it does not matter how long the strike lasts. Many Doctors resigned on seeing the inhumane pay, some came back on sympathy grounds and to make ends meet. It was victory for him that he said it, ‘hunger’ would force somebody to accept a job with the poorest renumeration. Hospitals were re-opened after all appeal to him, to do the right thing fell on deaf ears.
ASUU strike: It will also be recalled that Anambra was equally the only State where the industrial action by the lecturers in the State owned higher institutions lasted longer than necessary and was eventually called off on compassionate grounds not because the Government made any compromise. In fact, in one of the meeting with the union he was quoted as saying that he will not shift on what he is paying, they should go back to classrooms, that Anambra has no money.
His stance on minimum wage was similar, he payed to the lowest cadre of the civil service while the higher cadre remained basically unchanged. Then he introduced monthly deductions from the meager salary in the name of taxation, the type never seen anywhere in the federation. All appeals also fell on deaf ear. NLC did their best but it was not enough to change things and many of the workers were running out of patience and cash, and wished to return to work. It was another victory

Ban on Tokunbo: Innosson is a businessman I admire his acumen and doggedness. But he has to be careful with any alliance he might be having with the ‘non-combatant’. A ban on Tokunbo will not mean increased sales in home made vehicles. If the government wants increased sales and patronage of home made vehicles they should work on making the Price of Nigerian-made brand new cars to be at par with that of Tokunbo and then see if Nigerians will not abandon the Toks for the brandnew. But Ada Obi will not see it that way.
All the while, he was saying there’s no money in Anambra, the massive looting of the State through his experience as a Banker became unequalled. It is easy to hide the transfers done between the named bank and it overseas branches from the eyes of the internal auditors for a specialist at money Laundering with decades of experience.

When I first heard he wangled his way into the GEJ economic team. I knew it was a grave mistake on the part of the President. What exactly could be his contribution to the economic team giving his antecedents as a rogue, he is sure better than Ade Bendel, Fred Ajudua, Emma Nwude, Ibori, Ouk because he has never been caught. If GEJ wanted to compensate Anambra for the support given to his election, was appointing Peter Obi into the economic team the best? Oby Ezekwesili, Soludo could have been a better choice if GEJ meant business.
Now, the elections: He engineered the story that Soludo was very corrupt and stole a lot as CBN governor, during the APGA screening it turned out Soludo was disqualified because he had no money to prosecute the elections. We know how some individual were willing to sacrifice to ensure that Anambra has a sound leader, they actually contributed money to support Soludo. When did not having money become a criterion for disqualifying an aspirant? Now, the question, Obiano is campaigning at whose expense? Can they prove to Nigerians that Obi’s financial support has no part in Obiano’s campaign? He decided to discredit Ngige by sponsoring stories like APC is not Igbo party, Yorubas, Hausas are the enemies Anambra has. Is APGA that could not capture the other states that make up South-East geopolitical zone a good representation of a party that would get us somewhere? I don’t know if the story is correct, I was told Ojukwu partnered with NPN which was perceived as Hausa party when he came back from exile in the 1980s because he wanted the Ibo to play at the national level in partnership that has a more national outlook. Ifeanyi Ubah to him is a young man who must be maligned at all costs.
The contributions of Obi to the economic team of President Goodluck Jonathan should be left for our imaginations. But certainly Nigeria has been worst for it.GEJ as a person would not have allowed these strikes to continue till this moment but with people like Obi as economic advisers the end can come only when GEJ sees the Chameleons for who they are. Personal interest!

Speaking during Onitsha campaign

He explained that Labour has no
justifiable reason to go on strike since the
State Government has met the demands
of Labour in respect of Minimum Wage.
